But charge Joshua, and encourage him and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall put them in possession of the land which thou shalt see.

“Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to follow, so that you may live, enter, and take possession of the land Yahweh, the God of your fathers, is giving you.

See, I now teach you rules and regulations [just] as Yahweh my God has commanded me, to observe [them] [just] so in the midst of the land where you [are] going, to take possession of it.

The LORD commanded me at that time to teach you to observe the statutes and ordinances in the land after you cross over to take possession of it.

But the Lord has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, from Egypt, to be a people for His own possession, as today.
