'Rare' in the Bible

The boy Samuel served the Lord in Eli’s presence. In those days the word of the Lord was rare and prophetic visions were not widespread.

There is gold and a multitude of jewels,but knowledgeable lips are a rare treasure.

I will make man scarcer than gold,and mankind more rare than the gold of Ophir.
