'Thanks' in the Bible

“Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the nations,And I will sing praises to Your name.

Then on that day David first assigned Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to the Lord.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name;Make known His deeds among the peoples.
