¹⁶ the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. ¹⁷ The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshech. ¹⁸ Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.
