David Organizes The Levites

⁴ Of these, twenty-four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of Jehovah, and six thousand officers and judges. ⁵ And four thousand were gatekeepers, and four thousand praised Jehovah with the instruments which David made for praising. ⁶ And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
