Our Assurance Of Eternal Life

¹² The one having the Son has the life; the one not having the Son of God has not the life. ¹³ I have written these things unto you, in order that you may know that you have eternal life; to those who believe on the name of the Son of God. ¹⁴ And this is the assurance which we have toward him, that, if we may ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

The one believing on the Son of God has the witness in himself: the one not believing God has made him a liar; because he has not believed in the testimony which God has testified concerning his Son.
