The Reign Of Amaziah

² And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, yet not with a whole heart. ³ Now it came about as soon as the kingdom was firmly in his grasp, that he killed his servants who had slain his father the king. ⁴ But he did not put their children to death, according to what is written in the Law, in the Book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, "Fathers shall not die because of their children, nor children die because of their fathers, but each one shall die for his own sin."

Put to Death

Genesis 9:5-6

And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.

Exodus 21:14

But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him by cunning, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.

Numbers 35:31-33

Moreover, you shall accept no ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, but he shall be put to death.

2 Chronicles 24:25-26

When they had departed from him, leaving him severely wounded, his servants conspired against him because of the blood of the son of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed. So he died, and they buried him in the city of David, but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings.
