Solomon Blesses The People

⁵ 'Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there; nor did I choose any man to be a leader over my people Israel: ⁶ but I chose Jerusalem, that my name may be there; and I chose David to be over my people Israel.' ⁷ Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

1 Chronicles 28:4

However the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.
