And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

He comforts us in all our affliction,
so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Indeed, everything is for your benefit, so that grace, extended through more and more people, may cause thanksgiving
to increase to God’s glory.

And not only that,
but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,
We know that all things work together
for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
because I know this will lead to my deliverance
through your prayers and help from the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
For they disciplined us for a short time based on what seemed good to them, but He does it for our benefit, so that we can share His holiness.
Those who mourn are blessed, for they will be comforted.
