We always have to thank God for you, brothers. Jehovah loves you and we thank God that in the beginning he chose you to be saved through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

First, I thank my God for all of you through Jesus Christ, for your faith is reported throughout the whole world.

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God that is given you by Jesus Christ.

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.

Timothy came from you to us, and brought us good news about your faith and love. We want you to have good memories of us always, and that you desire to see us just as we also desire to see you.

As it is

We had to celebrate and be happy. Your brother was dead. Now he is alive! He was lost and now he has been found!'

It is right for me to feel this way on behalf of you all, because I have you in my heart. Both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the good news you are all partakers with me of grace.

I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by reminding you.
