¹⁷ If, therefore, God gave them the like gift, as to us who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?" ¹⁸ And, having heard these things, they were silent, and glorified God, saying, "Then, to the gentiles also God gave repentance unto life." ¹⁹ Those, therefore, who were dispersed by reason of the tribulation that arose about Stephen, traveled as far as Phoenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to none but Jews only.
