⁴⁸ And the gentiles, having heard it, were rejoicing, and glorifying the word of God; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. ⁴⁹ And the word of the Lord was being spread abroad through that whole country. ⁵⁰ But the Jews urged on the devout and reputable women, and the principal men of the city, and stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out of their borders;
