Resisting The Holy Spirit

⁵⁰ Did not My hand make all these things? ⁵¹ “You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit; as your ancestors did, so do you. ⁵² Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They even killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become.

Leviticus 26:41

and I acted with hostility toward them and brought them into the land of their enemies—and if their uncircumcised hearts will be humbled, and if they will pay the penalty for their sin,

Deuteronomy 10:16

Therefore, circumcise your hearts and don’t be stiff-necked any longer.

Exodus 32:9

The Lord also said to Moses: “I have seen this people, and they are indeed a stiff-necked people.

For the Lord said to Moses: “Tell the Israelites: You are a stiff-necked people. If I went with you for a single moment, I would destroy you. Now take off your jewelry, and I will decide what to do with you.”

and grieved His Holy Spirit.
