² For you are a holy people unto the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. ³ You shall not eat any abominable thing. ⁴ These are the animals which you shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

Leviticus 11:43
