⁶ before the silver chain is broken, and the golden bowl is broken, and the pitcher is broken at the fountain, and the wheel is broken at the cistern; ⁷ then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. ⁸ Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.
