Moses Begs The Lord To Spare The People

²⁹ For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to Jehovah, since each one has been against his son, and against his brother, and in order to give you a blessing today. ³⁰ And it happened on the next day, Moses said to the people, You have sinned a great sin. And now I will go up to Jehovah. Perhaps I shall make an atonement for your sin. ³¹ And Moses returned to Jehovah, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made themselves gods of gold.
