Ezekiel Prophesies Against Tyre

¹⁶ Then all the princes of the sea will go down from their thrones, remove their robes and strip off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling; they will sit on the ground, tremble every moment and be appalled at you. ¹⁷ They will take up a lamentation over you and say to you,
‘How you have perished, O inhabited one,
From the seas, O renowned city,
Which was mighty on the sea,
She and her inhabitants,
Who imposed her terror
On all her inhabitants!
¹⁸ ‘Now the coastlands will tremble
On the day of your fall;
Yes, the coastlands which are by the sea
Will be terrified at your passing.’”

Ezekiel 19:1

“As for you, take up a lamentation for the princes of Israel

Isaiah 14:12

“How you have fallen from heaven,
O star of the morning, son of the dawn!

You who have weakened the nations!

Be ashamed, O Sidon;
For the sea speaks, the stronghold of the sea, saying,
“I have neither travailed nor given birth,
I have neither brought up young men nor reared virgins.”

Ezekiel 19:14

‘And fire has gone out from its branch;
It has consumed its shoots and fruit,
So that there is not in it a strong branch,
A scepter to rule.’”
This is a lamentation, and has become a lamentation.

Ezekiel 32:2

“Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him,
