Judgment For The Profanation Of The Temple And Sanctuary

¹⁹ They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity. ²⁰ As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations [and] their detestable things therein: therefore have I made it to them as an unclean thing. ²¹ I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.

Ezekiel 24:21

Speak to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind shall fall by the sword.

Jeremiah 7:30

For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight, says Yahweh: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

Isaiah 64:11

Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised you, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste.

My face will I turn also from them, and they shall profane my secret [place]; and robbers shall enter into it, and profane it.

Haggai 2:3
