Galatians 2:19

Justified By Faith In Christ

¹⁸ For if I rebuild something that I tore down, I demonstrate that I am a wrongdoer. ¹⁹ For through the Law I died to the Law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with the Messiah. ²⁰ I no longer live, but the Messiah lives in me, and the life that I am now living in this body I live by the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Romans 6:11

In the same way, you too must continuously consider yourselves dead as far as sin is concerned, but living for God through the Messiah Jesus.

Romans 7:4

In the same way, my brothers, through the Messiah's body you also died as far as the Law is concerned, so that you may belong to another person, the one who was raised from the dead, and may bear fruit for God.

Of course not! How can we who died as far as sin is concerned go on living in it?

Indeed, this is why the gospel was proclaimed even to those who have died, so that they could be judged in their mortal flesh like all humans and live in the spiritual realm like God.
