Genesis 2:3

And He said moreover unto them, The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath:

but returned and prepared spices and perfumes; and then rested on the sabbath-day, according to the commandment.

for it is thus said concerning the seventh day, "And God rested the seventh day from all his works."
