Genesis 44:33

Now a man will scarcely ever give his life for an upright person, though once in a while a man is brave enough to die for a generous friend.

for I could wish myself accursed, even cut off from Christ, for the sake of my brothers, my natural kinsmen.

so much the more Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
