Yahweh Confirms Jeremiah's Call

¹⁸ For, behold, I have made you a fortified city this day, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against its rulers, against its priests, and against the people of the land. ¹⁹ And they shall fight against you; but they shall not overcome you. For I am with you, says Jehovah, to deliver you.

Jeremiah 1:8

Do not be afraid of their faces; for I am with you to deliver you, says Jehovah.

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed. For Jehovah your God is with you in all places where you go.

many times they have afflicted me from my youth; yet they have not prevailed over me.

Jeremiah 11:19

And they took Jeremiah and threw him into the pit of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, which was in the court of the prison. And they let Jeremiah down with ropes. And there was no water in the pit, only mud. So Jeremiah sank into the mud.
