Israel Deserves To Be Punished

²⁸ But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? Let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble, for according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah. ²⁹ “Why do you contend with Me?
You have all transgressed against Me,” declares the Lord.
³⁰ I have smitten your children in vain; they have received no correction; your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

Jeremiah 5:1

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem and see now and find out and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that execute judgment, that seek the truth; and I will pardon the city.
