Jeremiah 49:16-18

“As for the terror of you,
The arrogance of your heart has deceived you,
O you who live in the clefts of ^(a)the ^(A)rock,
Who occupy the height of the hill.
Though you make your nest as ^(B)high as an eagle’s,
I will ^(C)bring you down from there,” declares the Lord.

17} “Edom will become an ^(D)object of horror; everyone who passes by it will be horrified and will ^(E)hiss at all its wounds. ^{Tools
18} Like the ^(F)overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah with its neighbors,” says the Lord, “^(G)no one will live there, nor will a son of man reside in it.
