Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,
Moses the servant of the Lord and the sons of Israel
defeated them; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it to the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh as a possession.
Now this is the blessing with which Moses
the man of God blessed the sons of Israel before his death.
the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.
David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep, and was laid among his fathers and underwent decay;
Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus,
called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,
a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
So Moses said to
Joshua, “Choose men for us and go out, fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will station myself on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.”
from the tribe of Ephraim,
Hoshea the son of Nun;
Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you,
he shall enter there; encourage him, for he will cause Israel to inherit it.
It is the Lord your God who will cross ahead of you; He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua is the one who will cross ahead of you, just as the Lord has spoken.
Now Joshua the son of Nun was
filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; and the sons of Israel listened to him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
And having received it in their turn, our fathers
brought it in with Joshua upon dispossessing the nations whom God drove out before our fathers, until the time of David.
Joshua the son of Nun, the attendant of Moses from his youth, said, “ Moses, my lord, restrain them.”
1 Kings 19:16
Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint king over Israel; and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.
2 Kings 3:11
But Jehoshaphat said, “
Is there not a prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?” And one of the king of Israel’s servants answered and said, “ Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who used to pour water on the hands of Elijah.”

When she came to the man of God
to the hill, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came near to push her away; but the man of God said, “Let her alone, for her soul is troubled within her; and the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me.”
2 Kings 5:25
But he went in and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” And he said, “
Your servant went nowhere.”
It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant,
“ He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.
