Leviticus 19:16

And they could not, although many false witnesses presented themselves. But finally two came forward

So they instigated people to say, "We have heard him use abusive language about Moses and about God."

and said, "I did wrong when I handed an innocent man over to death!" They said, "What is that to us? You see to it yourself."

But??ot to detain you too long?? beg you to be kind enough to give us a brief hearing.

Their wives too must be serious, not gossips; they must be temperate, and perfectly trustworthy.

unfeeling, irreconcilable, slanderous, with no self-control, brutal, with no love for what is good,

Teach the older women, too, to be reverent in their behavior, and not to gossip or be slaves of drink, but to be teachers of what is right,

Free yourselves, therefore, from all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of any kind,
