Luke 7:49

And those who reclined at table with him began to say within themselves: Who is this that also forgives sins?

And behold, some of the scribes said within themselves: This man talks impiously.

Why does this man thus speak impiously? Who can forgive sins but God only?

And when he saw their faith, he said to him: Man, your sins are forgiven you.

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins. are covered.
