¹ And he began to speak to them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set up a hedge, and dug a winevat, and built a tower, and leased it to farmers, and went on a journey. ² And at the season he sent forth a bondman to the farmers, so that he might receive by the farmers from the fruit of the vineyard. ³ And having seized him, they beat him, and sent him away empty.
