⁸ Why, I count everything as loss compared with the supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have lost everything, and think it rubbish, in order to gain Christ ⁹ and be known to be united to him, with any uprightness I may have not based on law but coming through faith in Christ??he uprightness that comes from God through faith. ¹⁰ I want to know him in the power of resurrection, and to share his sufferings and even his death,

1 Corinthians 1:30

But you are his children, through your union with Christ Jesus, whom God has made our wisdom??ur uprightness and consecration and redemption,

Is the Law then contrary to God's promises? By no means. For if a law had been given that could have brought life, uprightness would really have come through law.

2 Timothy 1:9
