¹³ The poor man and the oppressor meet together; Jehovah lighteneth the eyes of them both. ¹⁴ The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, His throne shall be established for ever. ¹⁵ The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother.

Cause of the Poor

Proverbs 16:12

It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness; For the throne is established by righteousness.

Psalm 72:2-4

He will judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with justice.

Proverbs 25:5

Take away the wicked from before the king, And his throne shall be established in righteousness.

Proverbs 29:4

The king by justice establisheth the land; But he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it.

Isaiah 11:4
