34
They (A)did not destroy the peoples,
As (B)the Lord commanded them,
35
But (C)they mingled with the nations
And learned their (a)practices,
36
And (D)served their idols,
(E)Which became a snare to them.
37
They even (F)sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the (G)demons,
38
And shed (H)innocent blood,
The blood of their (I)sons and their daughters,
Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
And the land was (J)polluted with the blood.
39
Thus they became (K)unclean in their (b)practices,
And (L)played the harlot in their deeds.
40
Therefore the (M)anger of the Lord was kindled against His people
And He (N)abhorred His (c)(O)inheritance.
41
Then (P)He gave them into the hand of the (d)nations,
And those who hated them ruled over them.
