Psalm 125

The Lord Surrounds His People.

1} A Song of Ascents.

Those who trust in the Lord
Are as Mount Zion, which ^(A)cannot be moved but ^(B)abides forever.

As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So ^(C)the Lord surrounds His people
^(D)From this time forth and forever.

3}

For the ^(E)scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the ^(a)land of the righteous,
So that the righteous ^(F)will not put forth their hands to do wrong.

^(G)Do good, O Lord, to those who are good
And to those who are ^(H)upright in their hearts.

5}

But as for those who ^(I)turn aside to their ^(J)crooked ways,
The Lord will lead them away with the ^(K)doers of iniquity.
^(L)Peace be upon Israel.
