³ It was there that those who had captured us demanded that we sing. Those who guarded us wanted us to entertain them. They said: Sing a song from Zion for us! ⁴ How can we sing the Lord’s song
In a foreign land?
⁵ If I forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget how to play the harp.

Lamentations 5:14-15

The old men are no longer seated in the doorway. The music of the young men has come to an end.

They will not pour wine offerings to Jehovah. Their food will only satisfy their hunger. All who eat it will be defiled. It will not be brought as an offering to Jehovah's Temple.
