⁷ For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if you will hear his voice, ⁸  Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of trials in the wilderness: ⁹ When your fathers tested me, tried me, and saw my work.

Exodus 17:7

And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the striving of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?
