I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
And he said to them, “You yourselves know how
unlawful it is for a man who is a Jew to associate with a foreigner or to visit him; and yet God has shown me that I should not call any man unholy or unclean.
One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only.
1 Corinthians 10:25
Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking questions for conscience’ sake;
1 Timothy 4:4
everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;
To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
But Peter said, “By no means,
Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean.”
But I said, ‘By no means, Lord, for nothing
unholy or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’
To him it
he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.
1 Corinthians 8:7
However not all men
have this knowledge; but some, being accustomed to the idol until now, eat food as if it were sacrificed to an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
‘Also the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire.
As for other flesh, anyone who is clean may eat such flesh.
“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘
These are the creatures which you may eat from all the animals that are on the earth.
You shall not eat any detestable thing.
