וְיוֹחָנָ֣ן

､ קָרֵ֔חַ

qā·rê·aḥ,

of Kareah ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

､ הָאֲנָשִׁ֖ים

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

the men ､

הַזֵּדִ֑ים

haz·zê·ḏîm;

אֹמְרִ֣ים

’ō·mə·rîm

אֶֽל־

’el-

to

､ יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ

yir·mə·yā·hū,

! שֶׁ֚קֶר

’at·tāh

מְדַבֵּ֔ר

mə·ḏab·bêr,

שְׁלָחֲךָ֞

מִצְרַ֖יִם

miṣ·ra·yim

לָג֥וּר

lā·ḡūr

– שָֽׁם׃

šām.

כִּ֗י

kî,

but

בָּרוּךְ֙

bā·rūḵ

בֶּן־

ben-

נֵ֣רִיָּ֔ה

nê·rî·yāh,

מַסִּ֥ית

mas·sîṯ

אֹתְךָ֖

’ō·ṯə·ḵā

בָּ֑נוּ

bā·nū;

לְמַעַן֩

lə·ma·‘an

to the end that

תֵּ֨ת

têṯ

אֹתָ֤נוּ

’ō·ṯā·nū

us

בְיַֽד־

ḇə·yaḏ-

､ הַכַּשְׂדִּים֙

hak·kaś·dîm

of the Chaldeans ､

לְהָמִ֣ית

lə·hā·mîṯ

that they may put to death

אֹתָ֔נוּ

’ō·ṯā·nū,

us

וּלְהַגְל֥וֹת

ū·lə·haḡ·lō·wṯ

or carry away captive

אֹתָ֖נוּ

’ō·ṯā·nū

us

. בָּבֶֽל׃

bā·ḇel.

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

So not

שָׁמַע֩

šā·ma‘

יוֹחָנָ֨ן

yō·w·ḥā·nān

בֶּן־

ben-

､ קָרֵ֜חַ

qā·rê·aḥ

of Kareah ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

שָׂרֵ֧י

śā·rê

､ הַחֲיָלִ֛ים

ha·ḥă·yā·lîm

of the forces ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

､ הָעָ֖ם

hā·‘ām

the people ､

בְּק֣וֹל

bə·qō·wl

､ יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

of Yahweh ､

לָשֶׁ֖בֶת

lā·še·ḇeṯ

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

. יְהוּדָֽה׃

yə·hū·ḏāh.

of Judah .

וַיִּקַּ֞ח

way·yiq·qaḥ

But took

יוֹחָנָ֤ן

yō·w·ḥā·nān

בֶּן־

ben-

､ קָרֵ֙חַ֙

qā·rê·aḥ

of Kareah ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

שָׂרֵ֣י

śā·rê

､ הַחֲיָלִ֔ים

ha·ḥă·yā·lîm,

of the forces ､

אֵ֖ת

’êṯ

-

כָּל־

kāl-

שְׁאֵרִ֣ית

šə·’ê·rîṯ

､ יְהוּדָ֑ה

yə·hū·ḏāh;

of Judah ､

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

שָׁ֗בוּ

šā·ḇū,

מִכָּל־

mik·kāl

､ הַגּוֹיִם֙

hag·gō·w·yim

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

､ נִדְּחוּ־

nid·də·ḥū-

they had been driven ､

שָׁ֔ם

šām,

לָג֖וּר

lā·ḡūr

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

– יְהוּדָֽה׃

yə·hū·ḏāh.

of Judah –

אֶֽת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַ֠גְּבָרִים

hag·gə·ḇā·rîm

men ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ הַנָּשִׁ֣ים

han·nā·šîm

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ הַטַּף֮

haṭ·ṭap̄

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ בְּנ֣וֹת

bə·nō·wṯ

הַמֶּלֶךְ֒

ham·me·leḵ

of the king

וְאֵ֣ת

wə·’êṯ

and

כָּל־

kāl-

הַנֶּ֗פֶשׁ

han·ne·p̄eš,

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

הִנִּ֙יחַ֙

hin·nî·aḥ

נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֣ן

nə·ḇū·zar·’ă·ḏān

רַב־

raḇ-

טַבָּחִ֔ים

ṭab·bā·ḥîm,

of the guard

אֶת־

’eṯ-

with

גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ

gə·ḏal·yā·hū

בֶּן־

ben-

אֲחִיקָ֣ם

’ă·ḥî·qām

בֶּן־

ben-

the son

､ שָׁפָ֑ן

šā·p̄ān;

of Shaphan ､

וְאֵת֙

wə·’êṯ

and

יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ

yir·mə·yā·hū

､ הַנָּבִ֔יא

han·nā·ḇî,

the prophet ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

בָּר֖וּךְ

bā·rūḵ

בֶּן־

ben-

. נֵרִיָּֽהוּ׃

nê·rî·yā·hū.

וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

So they went to

אֶ֣רֶץ

’e·reṣ

the land

– מִצְרַ֔יִם

miṣ·ra·yim,

of Egypt –

כִּ֛י

kî

לֹ֥א

lō

not

שָׁמְע֖וּ

šā·mə·‘ū

בְּק֣וֹל

bə·qō·wl

– יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

of Yahweh –

וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

עַד־

‘aḏ-

as far as

. תַּחְפַּנְחֵֽס׃

taḥ·pan·ḥês.

And came

דְבַר־

the word

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

אֶֽל־

to

יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ

yir·mə·yā·hū,

､ בְּתַחְפַּנְחֵ֖ס

bə·ṯaḥ·pan·ḥês

in Tahpanhes ､

､ לֵאמֹֽר׃

lê·mōr.

קַ֣ח

qaḥ

､ בְּיָדְךָ֞

bə·yā·ḏə·ḵā

in your hand ､

אֲבָנִ֣ים

’ă·ḇā·nîm

גְּדֹל֗וֹת

gə·ḏō·lō·wṯ,

וּטְמַנְתָּ֤ם

ū·ṭə·man·tām

בַּמֶּ֙לֶט֙

bam·me·leṭ

in the clay

､ בַּמַּלְבֵּ֔ן

bam·mal·bên,

in the brick [courtyard] ､

אֲשֶׁ֛ר

’ă·šer

which [is]

בְּפֶ֥תַח

bə·p̄e·ṯaḥ

at the entrance to

בֵּית־

bêṯ-

פַּרְעֹ֖ה

par·‘ōh

､ בְּתַחְפַּנְחֵ֑ס

bə·ṯaḥ·pan·ḥês;

in Tahpanhes ､

לְעֵינֵ֖י

lə·‘ê·nê

in the sight

אֲנָשִׁ֥ים

’ă·nā·šîm

of the men

– יְהוּדִֽים׃

yə·hū·ḏîm.

of the Jews –

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

wə·’ā·mar·tā

and say

אֲלֵיהֶ֡ם

’ă·lê·hem

כֹּֽה־

kōh-

אָמַר֩

’ā·mar

יְהוָ֨ה

Yah·weh

､ צְבָא֜וֹת

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ

of hosts ､

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

’ĕ·lō·hê

the God

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

of Israel –

הִנְנִ֤י

hin·nî

שֹׁלֵ֙חַ֙

šō·lê·aḥ

will send

וְ֠לָקַחְתִּי

wə·lā·qaḥ·tî

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֤ר

nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣar

מֶֽלֶךְ־

me·leḵ-

the king

､ בָּבֶל֙

bā·ḇel

of Babylon ､

､ עַבְדִּ֔י

‘aḇ·dî,

My servant ､

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י

wə·śam·tî

and will set

כִסְא֔וֹ

ḵis·’ōw,

מִמַּ֛עַל

mim·ma·‘al

לָאֲבָנִ֥ים

lā·’ă·ḇā·nîm

הָאֵ֖לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

– טָמָ֑נְתִּי

ṭā·mā·nə·tî;

I have hidden –

וְנָטָ֥ה

wə·nā·ṭāh

and he will spread

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

[שפרורו]

šap̄·rū·rōw

-

(שַׁפְרִיר֖וֹ)

šap̄·rî·rōw

his royal pavilion

. עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

‘ă·lê·hem.

[ובאה]

ū·ḇā·’āh

-

､ (וּבָ֕א)

ū·ḇā

When he comes ､

וְהִכָּ֖ה

wə·hik·kāh

and he shall strike

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

אֶ֣רֶץ

’e·reṣ

the land

､ מִצְרָ֑יִם

miṣ·rā·yim;

of Egypt ､

אֲשֶׁ֧ר

’ă·šer

[and [deliver those appointed]

לַמָּ֣וֶת

lam·mā·weṯ

– לַמָּ֗וֶת

lam·mā·weṯ,

to death –

וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר

wa·’ă·šer

and [those [appointed]

לַשְּׁבִי֙

laš·šə·ḇî

– לַשֶּׁ֔בִי

laš·še·ḇî,

to captivity –

וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר

wa·’ă·šer

and [those [appointed]

לַחֶ֖רֶב

la·ḥe·reḇ

. לֶחָֽרֶב׃

le·ḥā·reḇ.

to the sword .

וְהִצַּ֣תִּי

wə·hiṣ·ṣat·tî

And I will kindle

אֵ֗שׁ

’êš,

בְּבָתֵּי֙

bə·ḇāt·tê

in the houses

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

’ĕ·lō·hê

of the gods

– מִצְרַ֔יִם

miṣ·ra·yim,

of Egypt –

וּשְׂרָפָ֖ם

ū·śə·rā·p̄ām

and he shall burn them

– וְשָׁבָ֑ם

wə·šā·ḇām;

and carry them away captive –

וְעָטָה֩

wə·‘ā·ṭāh

and he shall array himself

אֶת־

’eṯ-

with

אֶ֨רֶץ

’e·reṣ

the land

､ מִצְרַ֜יִם

miṣ·ra·yim

of Egypt ､

כַּאֲשֶׁר־

ka·’ă·šer-

as

יַעְטֶ֤ה

ya‘·ṭeh

הָֽרֹעֶה֙

hā·rō·‘eh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

– בִּגְד֔וֹ

biḡ·ḏōw,

his garment –

וְיָצָ֥א

wə·yā·ṣā

and he shall go out

מִשָּׁ֖ם

miš·šām

. בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃

bə·šā·lō·wm.

in peace .

וְשִׁבַּ֗ר

wə·šib·bar,

And He shall break

אֶֽת־

’eṯ-

-

מַצְּבוֹת֙

maṣ·ṣə·ḇō·wṯ

the sacred pillars

בֵּ֣ית

bêṯ

of

､ שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ

še·meš,

Beth Shemesh ､

אֲשֶׁ֖ר

’ă·šer

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

– מִצְרָ֑יִם

miṣ·rā·yim;

of Egypt –

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

בָּתֵּ֥י

bāt·tê

אֱלֹהֵֽי־

’ĕ·lō·hê-

of the gods

מִצְרַ֖יִם

miṣ·ra·yim

יִשְׂרֹ֥ף

yiś·rōp̄

. בָּאֵֽשׁ׃

bā·’êš.

with fire .
