וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר

יְהוָ֖ה

אֶל־

､ מֹשֶׁ֥ה

､ לֵּאמֹֽר׃

lê·mōr.

דַּבֵּ֞ר

dab·bêr

אֶל־

’el-

to

בְּנֵ֤י

bə·nê

the sons

､ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

yiś·rā·’êl

of Israel ､

､ לֵאמֹ֔ר

lê·mōr,

אִשָּׁה֙

’iš·šāh

כִּ֣י

kî

if

､ תַזְרִ֔יעַ

ṯaz·rî·a‘,

has conceived ､

וְיָלְדָ֖ה

wə·yā·lə·ḏāh

– זָכָ֑ר

zā·ḵār;

a male child –

וְטָֽמְאָה֙

wə·ṭā·mə·’āh

then she shall be unclean

שִׁבְעַ֣ת

šiḇ·‘aṯ

– יָמִ֔ים

yā·mîm,

days –

כִּימֵ֛י

kî·mê

as in the days

נִדַּ֥ת

nid·daṯ

דְּוֺתָ֖הּ

də·wō·ṯāh

. תִּטְמָֽא׃

tiṭ·mā.

she shall be unclean .

וּבַיּ֖וֹם

ū·ḇay·yō·wm

And on the day

הַשְּׁמִינִ֑י

haš·šə·mî·nî;

יִמּ֖וֹל

yim·mō·wl

shall be circumcised

בְּשַׂ֥ר

bə·śar

. עָרְלָתֽוֹ׃

‘ā·rə·lā·ṯōw.

of his foreskin .

וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים

ū·šə·lō·šîm

יוֹם֙

yō·wm

וּשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת

ū·šə·lō·šeṯ

יָמִ֔ים

yā·mîm,

תֵּשֵׁ֖ב

tê·šêḇ

she shall continue

בִּדְמֵ֣י

biḏ·mê

in the blood

. טָהֳרָ֑ה

ṭā·ho·rāh;

of [her] purification .

בְּכָל־

bə·ḵāl

､ קֹ֣דֶשׁ

qō·ḏeš

sacred thing ､

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

תִגָּ֗ע

ṯig·gā‘,

she shall touch

וְאֶל־

wə·’el-

and into

הַמִּקְדָּשׁ֙

ham·miq·dāš

לֹ֣א

lō

､ תָבֹ֔א

ṯā·ḇō,

come ､

עַד־

‘aḏ-

מְלֹ֖את

mə·lōṯ

יְמֵ֥י

yə·mê

the days

. טָהֳרָֽהּ׃

ṭā·ho·rāh.

of her purification .

וְאִם־

wə·’im-

But if

נְקֵבָ֣ה

nə·qê·ḇāh

､ תֵלֵ֔ד

ṯê·lêḏ,

וְטָמְאָ֥ה

wə·ṭā·mə·’āh

then she shall be unclean

､ שְׁבֻעַ֖יִם

šə·ḇu·‘a·yim

– כְּנִדָּתָ֑הּ

kə·nid·dā·ṯāh;

as in her customary impurity –

וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים

wə·šiš·šîm

יוֹם֙

yō·wm

וְשֵׁ֣שֶׁת

wə·šê·šeṯ

and six

יָמִ֔ים

yā·mîm,

תֵּשֵׁ֖ב

tê·šêḇ

she shall continue

עַל־

‘al-

in

דְּמֵ֥י

də·mê

. טָהֳרָֽה׃

ṭā·ho·rāh.

of [her] purification .

וּבִמְלֹ֣את ׀

ū·ḇim·lōṯ

And when are fulfilled

יְמֵ֣י

yə·mê

the days

טָהֳרָ֗הּ

ṭā·ho·rāh,

of her purification

､ לְבֵן֮

lə·ḇên

whether for a son ､

א֣וֹ

’ōw

or

､ לְבַת֒

lə·ḇaṯ

תָּבִ֞יא

tā·ḇî

she shall bring

כֶּ֤בֶשׂ

ke·ḇeś

בֶּן־

ben-

of the first

שְׁנָתוֹ֙

šə·nā·ṯōw

､ לְעֹלָ֔ה

lə·‘ō·lāh,

as a burnt offering ､

וּבֶן־

ū·ḇen-

and a young

､ יוֹנָ֥ה

yō·w·nāh

אוֹ־

’ōw-

or

､ תֹ֖ר

ṯōr

a turtledove ､

､ לְחַטָּ֑את

lə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ;

as a sin offering ､

אֶל־

’el-

to

פֶּ֥תַח

pe·ṯaḥ

the door

אֹֽהֶל־

’ō·hel-

of the tabernacle

､ מוֹעֵ֖ד

mō·w·‘êḏ

of meeting ､

אֶל־

’el-

to

. הַכֹּהֵֽן׃

hak·kō·hên.

the priest .

וְהִקְרִיב֞וֹ

wə·hiq·rî·ḇōw

And he shall offer it

לִפְנֵ֤י

lip̄·nê

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

וְכִפֶּ֣ר

wə·ḵip·per

and make atonement

､ עָלֶ֔יהָ

‘ā·le·hā,

וְטָהֲרָ֖ה

wə·ṭā·hă·rāh

and she shall be clean

מִמְּקֹ֣ר

mim·mə·qōr

. דָּמֶ֑יהָ

dā·me·hā;

זֹ֤את

zōṯ

תּוֹרַת֙

tō·w·raṯ

[is] the law

הַיֹּלֶ֔דֶת

hay·yō·le·ḏeṯ,

for her who has borne

לַזָּכָ֖ר

laz·zā·ḵār

א֥וֹ

’ōw

or

. לַנְּקֵבָֽה׃

lan·nə·qê·ḇāh.

וְאִם־

wə·’im-

And if

לֹ֨א

lō

not

תִמְצָ֣א

ṯim·ṣā

יָדָהּ֮

yā·ḏāh

דֵּ֣י

dê

､ שֶׂה֒

śeh

a lamb ､

וְלָקְחָ֣ה

wə·lā·qə·ḥāh

then she may bring

שְׁתֵּֽי־

šə·tê-

､ תֹרִ֗ים

ṯō·rîm,

turtledoves ､

א֤וֹ

’ōw

or

שְׁנֵי֙

šə·nê

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

– יוֹנָ֔ה

yō·w·nāh,

אֶחָ֥ד

’e·ḥāḏ

､ לְעֹלָ֖ה

lə·‘ō·lāh

as a burnt offering ､

וְאֶחָ֣ד

wə·’e·ḥāḏ

and one

– לְחַטָּ֑את

lə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ;

as a sin offering –

וְכִפֶּ֥ר

wə·ḵip·per

so shall make atonement

עָלֶ֛יהָ

‘ā·le·hā

הַכֹּהֵ֖ן

hak·kō·hên

. וְטָהֵֽרָה׃

wə·ṭā·hê·rāh.

and she will be clean .
