נֹטֶ֤ה

､ שָׁמַ֙יִם֙
šā·ma·yim
the heavens ､
וְיֹסֵ֣ד
wə·yō·sêḏ
､ אָ֔רֶץ
’ā·reṣ,
of the earth ､
וְיֹצֵ֥ר
wə·yō·ṣêr
and forms
רֽוּחַ־
rū·aḥ-
the spirit
אָדָ֖ם
’ā·ḏām
of man
. בְּקִרְבּֽוֹ׃
bə·qir·bōw.

Behold ､
אָ֠נֹכִי

I

will make
אֶת־
’eṯ-

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֧ם

סַף־
sap̄-
a cup
רַ֛עַל
ra·‘al
לְכָל־
lə·ḵāl
to all
הָעַמִּ֖ים
hā·‘am·mîm
､ סָבִ֑יב
sā·ḇîḇ;
וְגַ֧ם
wə·ḡam
and when
עַל־
‘al-
יְהוּדָ֛ה
yə·hū·ḏāh
יִֽהְיֶ֥ה
yih·yeh
בַמָּצ֖וֹר
ḇam·mā·ṣō·wr
עַל־
‘al-
. יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
yə·rū·šā·lim.
and Jerusalem .

וְהָיָ֣ה
wə·hā·yāh
And it shall happen
בַיּוֹם־
ḇay·yō·wm-
in day
הַ֠הוּא
ha·hū
אָשִׂ֨ים
’ā·śîm
I will make
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם
yə·rū·šā·lim
אֶ֤בֶן
’e·ḇen
מַֽעֲמָסָה֙
ma·‘ă·mā·sāh
לְכָל־
lə·ḵāl
– הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים
hā·‘am·mîm,
כָּל־
kāl-
עֹמְסֶ֖יהָ
‘ō·mə·se·hā
שָׂר֣וֹט
śā·rō·wṭ
､ יִשָּׂרֵ֑טוּ
yiś·śā·rê·ṭū;
will be cut in pieces ､
וְנֶאֶסְפ֣וּ
wə·ne·’es·p̄ū
עָלֶ֔יהָ
‘ā·le·hā,
כֹּ֖ל
kōl
גּוֹיֵ֥י
gō·w·yê
. הָאָֽרֶץ׃
hā·’ā·reṣ.
of the earth .

､ בַּיּ֨וֹם
bay·yō·wm
In day ､
הַה֜וּא
ha·hū
נְאֻם־
nə·’um-
､ יְהוָ֗ה
Yah·weh
Yahweh ､
אַכֶּ֤ה
’ak·keh
I will strike
כָל־
ḵāl
סוּס֙
sūs
､ בַּתִּמָּה֔וֹן
bat·tim·mā·hō·wn,
with confusion ､
וְרֹכְב֖וֹ
wə·rō·ḵə·ḇōw
. בַּשִּׁגָּע֑וֹן
baš·šig·gā·‘ō·wn;
with madness .
וְעַל־
wə·‘al-
And on
בֵּ֤ית
bêṯ
the house
､ יְהוּדָה֙
yə·hū·ḏāh
of Judah ､
אֶפְקַ֣ח
’ep̄·qaḥ
I will open
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
עֵינַ֔י
‘ê·nay,
My eyes
וְכֹל֙
wə·ḵōl
and every
ס֣וּס
sūs
הָֽעַמִּ֔ים
hā·‘am·mîm,
of the peoples
אַכֶּ֖ה
’ak·keh
will strike
. בַּֽעִוָּרֽוֹן׃
ba·‘iw·wā·rō·wn.
with blindness .

וְאָֽמְר֛וּ
wə·’ā·mə·rū
אַלֻּפֵ֥י
’al·lu·p̄ê
יְהוּדָ֖ה
yə·hū·ḏāh
､ בְּלִבָּ֑ם
bə·lib·bām;
in their heart ､
אַמְצָ֥ה
’am·ṣāh
לִי֙
lî
my
יֹשְׁבֵ֣י
yō·šə·ḇê
יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם
yə·rū·šā·lim,
בַּיהוָ֥ה
Yah·weh
צְבָא֖וֹת
ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ
. אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃
’ĕ·lō·hê·hem.

I will make

אַלֻּפֵ֨י

יְהוּדָ֜ה

כְּֽכִיּ֧וֹר
kə·ḵî·yō·wr
אֵ֣שׁ
’êš
､ בְּעֵצִ֗ים
bə·‘ê·ṣîm,
in the woodpile ､
וּכְלַפִּ֥יד
ū·ḵə·lap·pîḏ
and like a torch
אֵשׁ֙
’êš
– בְּעָמִ֔יר
bə·‘ā·mîr,
in the sheaves –
וְאָ֨כְל֜וּ
wə·’ā·ḵə·lū
עַל־
‘al-
on
יָמִ֧ין
yā·mîn
וְעַל־
wə·‘al-
and on
– שְׂמֹ֛אול
śə·mō·wl
the left –
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
כָּל־
kāl-
הָעַמִּ֖ים
hā·‘am·mîm
､ סָבִ֑יב
sā·ḇîḇ;
וְיָשְׁבָ֨ה
wə·yā·šə·ḇāh
יְרוּשָׁלִַ֥ם
yə·rū·šā·lim
ע֛וֹד
‘ō·wḏ
､ תַּחְתֶּ֖יהָ
taḥ·te·hā
in her own ､
. בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

And will save
יְהוָ֛ה

אָהֳלֵ֥י

the tents
יְהוּדָ֖ה
yə·hū·ḏāh
､ בָּרִֽאשֹׁנָ֑ה
bā·ri·šō·nāh;
first ､
לְמַ֨עַן
lə·ma·‘an
so that
לֹֽא־
lō-
not
תִגְדַּ֜ל
ṯiḡ·dal
תִּפְאֶ֣רֶת
tip̄·’e·reṯ
the glory
בֵּית־
bêṯ-
of the house
דָּוִ֗יד
dā·wîḏ,
וְתִפְאֶ֛רֶת
wə·ṯip̄·’e·reṯ
and the glory
יֹשֵׁ֥ב
yō·šêḇ
יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם
yə·rū·šā·lim
עַל־
‘al-
. יְהוּדָֽה׃
yə·hū·ḏāh.
of Judah .

בַּיּ֣וֹם
bay·yō·wm
In day
הַה֗וּא
ha·hū,
יָגֵ֤ן
yā·ḡên
will defend
יְהוָה֙
Yah·weh
בְּעַד֙
bə·‘aḏ
יוֹשֵׁ֣ב
yō·wō·šêḇ
– יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם
yə·rū·šā·lim,
of Jerusalem –
וְהָיָ֞ה
wə·hā·yāh
and shall be
הַנִּכְשָׁ֥ל
han·niḵ·šāl
the one who is feeble
בָּהֶ֛ם
bā·hem
בַּיּ֥וֹם
bay·yō·wm
in day
הַה֖וּא
ha·hū
– כְּדָוִ֑יד
kə·ḏā·wîḏ;
וּבֵ֤ית
ū·ḇêṯ
and the house
דָּוִיד֙
dā·wîḏ
､ כֵּֽאלֹהִ֔ים
kê·lō·hîm,
[shall be] like God ､
כְּמַלְאַ֥ךְ
kə·mal·’aḵ
יְהוָ֖ה
Yah·weh
. לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃
lip̄·nê·hem.

וְהָיָ֖ה
wə·hā·yāh
And it shall be
､ בַּיּ֣וֹם
bay·yō·wm
in day ､
הַה֑וּא
ha·hū;
אֲבַקֵּ֗שׁ
’ă·ḇaq·qêš,
[that] I will seek
לְהַשְׁמִיד֙
lə·haš·mîḏ
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
כָּל־
kāl-
הַגּוֹיִ֔ם
hag·gō·w·yim,
הַבָּאִ֖ים
hab·bā·’îm
עַל־
‘al-
. יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
yə·rū·šā·lim.

Mourning the One they Pierced

וְשָׁפַכְתִּי֩

And I will pour
עַל־
‘al-
on
בֵּ֨ית
bêṯ
the house
､ דָּוִ֜יד
dā·wîḏ
of David ､
וְעַ֣ל ׀
wə·‘al
and on
יוֹשֵׁ֣ב
yō·wō·šêḇ
､ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם
yə·rū·šā·lim,
of Jerusalem ､
ר֤וּחַ
rū·aḥ
the Spirit
חֵן֙
ḥên
､ וְתַ֣חֲנוּנִ֔ים
wə·ṯa·ḥă·nū·nîm,
and supplication ､
וְהִבִּ֥יטוּ
wə·hib·bî·ṭū
אֵלַ֖י
’ê·lay
on Me
אֵ֣ת
’êṯ
-
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
､ דָּקָ֑רוּ
dā·qā·rū;
וְסָפְד֣וּ
wə·sā·p̄ə·ḏū
and Yes they will mourn
עָלָ֗יו
‘ā·lāw,
כְּמִסְפֵּד֙
kə·mis·pêḏ
עַל־
‘al-
הַיָּחִ֔יד
hay·yā·ḥîḏ,
וְהָמֵ֥ר
wə·hā·mêr
and grieve
עָלָ֖יו
‘ā·lāw
כְּהָמֵ֥ר
kə·hā·mêr
עַֽל־
‘al-
. הַבְּכֽוֹר׃
hab·bə·ḵō·wr.

בַּיּ֣וֹם
bay·yō·wm
In day
הַה֗וּא
ha·hū,
יִגְדַּ֤ל
yiḡ·dal
הַמִּסְפֵּד֙
ham·mis·pêḏ
､ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם
bî·rū·šā·lim,
in Jerusalem ､
כְּמִסְפַּ֥ד
kə·mis·paḏ
like the mourning at
הֲדַדְ־
hă·ḏaḏ-
-
רִמּ֖וֹן
rim·mō·wn
בְּבִקְעַ֥ת
bə·ḇiq·‘aṯ
in the plain
. מְגִדּֽוֹן׃
mə·ḡid·dō·wn.
of Megiddo .

､ וְסָפְדָ֣ה
wə·sā·p̄ə·ḏāh
And shall mourn ､
הָאָ֔רֶץ
hā·’ā·reṣ,
the land
מִשְׁפָּח֥וֹת
miš·pā·ḥō·wṯ
מִשְׁפָּח֖וֹת
miš·pā·ḥō·wṯ
– לְבָ֑ד
lə·ḇāḏ;
by itself –
מִשְׁפַּ֨חַת
miš·pa·ḥaṯ
the family
בֵּית־

of the house
