'I Have Loved You' in the Bible
The Lord appeared to me (Israel) from ages past, saying,“I have loved you with an everlasting love;Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.
“I have loved you,” says the Lord. But you say, “How and in what way have You loved us?” “Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord. “Yet I loved Jacob (Israel);
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.
I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in My love [and do not doubt My love for you].
“This is My commandment, that you love and unselfishly seek the best for one another, just as I have loved you.
Take note, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them come and bow down at your feet and make them know [without any doubt] that I have loved you.
