Then saith he to his servants, The marriage-feast is prepared, but they who were invited were not worthy.
And coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, went into the holy city, and appeared to many.
And in the evening the lord of the vineyard saith to his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last to the first.
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick and in prison, and ye visited me not.
And Mary Magdalene was there and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
So shall also the Son of man suffer from them. Then the disciples understood, that he spoke to them of John the Baptist.
And if he find it, verily I say to you, he rejoiceth more over that sheep, than over the ninety and nine which went not astray.
And whosoever shall swear by the altar, ye say, it is nothing: but whosoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it, is bound.
And stretching forth his hand toward his disciples he said, Behold my mother and my brethren.
In that hour Jesus said to the multitude, Are ye come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple and ye took me not.
And shall begin to smite his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken:
At last came two false witnesses, And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
But the wise answered, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
But Peter followed him afar off to the high priest's palace, and going in, sat with the officers, to see the end.
And having sent away the multitude, he took ship again, and came into the coasts of Magdala.
And he that had received the five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Sir, thou deliveredst to me five talents; behold I have gained to them five talents more.
And after a while they that stood by, came and said to Peter, Surely thou art also one of them; for thy speech discovereth thee.
And going out about the third hour, he saw others standing idle in the market-place.
And he that sweareth by the temple, sweareth by it and by him that dwelleth therein.
And they bargained with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
Again he sent other servants more than the first; and they did to them likewise.
And said to them, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right, I will give you. And they went.
He therefore that sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it and by all things thereon.
And having consulted together, they bought with them the potters field, to bury foreigners in.
And when they came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every one a penny.
Command therefore that the sepulchre be secured till the third day, lest his disciples coming steal him away, and say to the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last imposture shall be worse than the first.
But they that kept them fled, and going into the city, told every thing, and what had befallen the demoniacs.
But when they sought to apprehend him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
And if any man say ought to you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them: and he will send them immediately.
And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said to them that were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.
The governour answering said to them, Which of the two will ye that I release to you?
But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every one a penny.
Which when it was full, they drew to the shore, and sitting down, gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Take what is thine, and go: it is my will, to give to this last, even as to thee?
But he that had received one, went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's mony.
They say to him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith to them, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right ye shall receive.
He also that had received two talents came and said, Sir, thou deliveredst to me two talents; behold I have gained to them two other talents.
And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought to him all that were diseased; And besought him,
Then he saith, I will return to my house whence I came out, and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept and garnished.
Verily I say to you, he will make him ruler over all his goods.
And no man was able to answer him a word; neither durst any from that day question him any more.
And he would not, but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
And being afraid, I went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, thou hast what is thine.
to put him to death, But found none; yea, tho' many false witnesses came, yet found they none.
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath HE all these things?
And they all ate and were satisfied, and they took up of the fragments that remained seven baskets full.
He going to Pilate, asked the body of Jesus: then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
