I am not saying this as a command, but I am testing the genuineness of your love by comparison with the eagerness of others.

I spoke to the prophets; I myself revealed many visions; I spoke in parables through the prophets."
Before this I had been like a docile lamb ready to be led to the slaughter. I did not know they were making plans to kill me. I did not know they were saying, "Let's destroy the tree along with its fruit! Let's remove Jeremiah from the world of the living so people will not even be reminded of him any more."
The way of the sluggard is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of the upright is like a highway.
Arrogant people cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who behave wickedly.

When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the trees, act decisively. For at that moment the Lord is going before you to strike down the army of the Philistines."

Eglon formed alliances with the Ammonites and Amalekites. He came and defeated Israel, and they seized the City of Date Palm Trees.

"Do not drink wine or strong drink, you and your sons with you, when you enter into the Meeting Tent, so that you do not die, which is a perpetual statute throughout your generations,
Since the Lord God of Israel has driven out the Amorites before his people Israel, do you think you can just take it from them?
Moses said, "Do not leave us, because you know places for us to camp in the wilderness, and you could be our guide.
"When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is ready to journey, then the Kohathites will come to carry them; but they must not touch any holy thing, or they will die. There is nothing better for people than to eat and drink, and to find enjoyment in their work. I also perceived that this ability to find enjoyment comes from God.
If you stop listening to instruction, my child, you will stray from the words of knowledge.
