Then the Lord became angry with Moses, and he said, "What about your brother Aaron the Levite? I know that he can speak very well. Moreover, he is coming to meet you, and when he sees you he will be glad in his heart.

The Israelites plundered all the goods of these cities and the cattle, but they totally destroyed all the people and allowed no one who breathed to live.

and the Israelites went away and did exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.

The caravans of Tema looked intently for these streams; the traveling merchants of Sheba hoped for them.
This is what I also observed about wisdom on earth, and it is a great burden to me:

But we know where this man comes from. Whenever the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from."
In that day your beautiful young women and your young men will faint from thirst.
Joshua and all Israel pretended to be defeated by them and they retreated along the way to the desert.
The words of the wise are heard in quiet, more than the shouting of a ruler is heard among fools.
They appointed the priests by their divisions and the Levites by their divisions over the worship of God at Jerusalem, in accord with the book of Moses.

You will rule over the Lord's people and you will deliver them from the power of the enemies who surround them. This will be your sign that the Lord has chosen you as leader over his inheritance.
There was once a small city with a few men in it, and a mighty king attacked it, besieging it and building strong siege works against it.
There is no end to all the people nor to the past generations, yet future generations will not rejoice in him. This also is profitless and like chasing the wind.

When you gather together in the name of our Lord Jesus, and I am with you in spirit, along with the power of our Lord Jesus,
Absalom had made Amasa general in command of the army in place of Joab. (Now Amasa was the son of an Israelite man named Jether, who had married Abigail the daughter of Nahash and sister of Zeruiah, Joab's mother.)
He stretched out his hand and touched him saying, "I am willing. Be clean!" Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
But if I build up again those things I once destroyed, I demonstrate that I am one who breaks God's law.
The men of Ephraim did not conquer the Canaanites living in Gezer. The Canaanites lived among them in Gezer.
The Jordan River borders it on the east. These were the borders of the land assigned to the tribe of Benjamin by its clans.
So they put it aside until the morning, just as Moses had commanded, and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it.
We did this as a precaution so that no one should blame us in regard to this generous gift we are administering.

And if the righteous are barely saved, what will become of the ungodly and sinners?

But as the man went out he began to announce it publicly and spread the story widely, so that Jesus was no longer able to enter any town openly but stayed outside in remote places. Still they kept coming to him from everywhere.
Has a nation ever changed its gods (even though they are not really gods at all)? But my people have exchanged me, their glorious God, for a god that cannot help them at all!
On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month of Darius' second year, the Lord spoke again to the prophet Haggai:
"Certainly when I punish Israel for their covenant transgressions, I will destroy Bethel's altars. The horns of the altar will be cut off and fall to the ground.
"If a man divorces his wife and she leaves him and becomes another man's wife, he may not take her back again. Doing that would utterly defile the land. But you, Israel, have given yourself as a prostitute to many gods. So what makes you think you can return to me?" says the Lord.
"I, King Artaxerxes, hereby issue orders to all the treasurers of Trans-Euphrates, that you precisely execute all that Ezra the priestly scribe of the law of the God of heaven may request of you --
Solomon began building the Lord's temple in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David. This was the place that David prepared at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
The rivers of Damascus, the Abana and Pharpar, are better than any of the waters of Israel! Could I not wash in them and be healed?" So he turned around and went away angry.

and not like Moses who used to put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from staring at the result of the glory that was made ineffective.
You know that when you were pagans you were often led astray by speechless idols, however you were led.

One of the high priest's slaves, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, said, "Did I not see you in the orchard with him?"
Just as Jesus was getting out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit came from the tombs and met him.

Not all are apostles, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? Not all are teachers, are they? Not all perform miracles, do they?

When your children ask you later on, "What are the stipulations, statutes, and ordinances that the Lord our God commanded you?"
And I testify again to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.
For if Abraham was declared righteous by the works of the law, he has something to boast about -- but not before God.
When he saw that this pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter too. (This took place during the feast of Unleavened Bread.)
"As for this temple you are building, if you follow my rules, observe my regulations, and obey all my commandments, I will fulfill through you the promise I made to your father David.
When it was reported to Saul, he sent more messengers, but they prophesied too. So Saul sent messengers a third time, but they also prophesied.
The kings of the earth stood together, and the rulers assembled together, against the Lord and against his Christ.'
But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" -- he said to the paralyzed man -- "I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher and go home."
For who dares make light of small beginnings? These seven eyes will joyfully look on the tin tablet in Zerubbabel's hand. (These are the eyes of the Lord, which constantly range across the whole earth.)
Do I actually delight in the death of the wicked, declares the sovereign Lord? Do I not prefer that he turn from his wicked conduct and live?
So Simon Peter gestured to this disciple to ask Jesus who it was he was referring to.
But then one of the seraphs flew toward me. In his hand was a hot coal he had taken from the altar with tongs.

But you, son of man, do not fear them, and do not fear their words -- even though briers and thorns surround you and you live among scorpions -- do not fear their words and do not be terrified of the looks they give you, for they are a rebellious house!
The arrogance of Israel testifies against him, yet they refuse to return to the Lord their God! In spite of all this they refuse to seek him!
those prophets of Israel who would prophesy about Jerusalem and would see visions of peace for it, when there was no peace," declares the sovereign Lord.'

The fear of the Lord provides wise instruction, and before honor comes humility.
There Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet will anoint him king over Israel; then blow the trumpet and declare, 'Long live King Solomon!'
you shall take an awl and pierce a hole through his ear to the door. Then he will become your servant permanently (this applies to your female servant as well).
in that he spends the rest of his time on earth concerned about the will of God and not human desires.
Abishai son of Zeruiah replied, "For this should not Shimei be put to death? After all, he cursed the Lord's anointed!"
When you enter the town, you can find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people won't eat until he arrives, for he must bless the sacrifice. Once that happens, those who have been invited will eat. Now go on up, for this is the time when you can find him!"
Do whatever is proper and good before the Lord so that it may go well with you and that you may enter and occupy the good land that he promised your ancestors,
For he has spoken somewhere about the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all his works,"

The king responded to the people harshly. He rejected the advice of the older men
When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha, "What can I do for you, before I am taken away from you?" Elisha answered, "May I receive a double portion of the prophetic spirit that energizes you."
I was attentive that night and saw a man seated on a red horse that stood among some myrtle trees in the ravine. Behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses.
One day Elisha came for a visit; he went into the upper room and rested.
In Damascus, the governor under King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus in order to arrest me,
Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it.
It has often thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if you are able to do anything, have compassion on us and help us."
But the officers who came for them did not find them in the prison, so they returned and reported,
Teach them to your children and speak of them as you sit in your house, as you walk along the road, as you lie down, and as you get up.
He said to them, "Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry --
This is what the Lord says: "Because Moab has committed three crimes -- make that four! -- I will not revoke my decree of judgment. They burned the bones of Edom's king into lime.
Judah has become disloyal, and unspeakable sins have been committed in Israel and Jerusalem. For Judah has profaned the holy things that the Lord loves and has turned to a foreign god!
Look! You are driving me off the land today, and I must hide from your presence. I will be a homeless wanderer on the earth; whoever finds me will kill me."
Jehu sent invitations throughout Israel, and all the servants of Baal came; not one was absent. They arrived at the temple of Baal and filled it up from end to end.
There will arise after him one who will send out an exactor of tribute to enhance the splendor of the kingdom, but after a few days he will be destroyed, though not in anger or battle.
"Look, the day! Look, it is coming! Doom has gone out! The staff has budded, pride has blossomed!
For wisdom will enter your heart, and moral knowledge will be attractive to you.
And to love him with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your strength and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
And you must not go up by steps to my altar, so that your nakedness is not exposed.'

The Lord was also angry enough at Aaron to kill him, but at that time I prayed for him too.
For this time I will send all my plagues on your very self and on your servants and your people, so that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.
These are the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, and by their nations.
And after you have read this letter, have it read to the church of Laodicea. In turn, read the letter from Laodicea as well.
But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you!

I also wanted to know the meaning of the ten horns on its head, and of that other horn which came up and before which three others fell. This was the horn that had eyes and a mouth speaking arrogant things, whose appearance was more formidable than the others.
a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates, of olive trees and honey,
Ephraim will be ruined in the day of judgment! What I am declaring to the tribes of Israel will certainly take place!
A wise person's heart makes his speech wise and it adds persuasiveness to his words.
He prepares to use deadly weapons against him; he gets ready to shoot flaming arrows.
Also, do not pay attention to everything that people say; otherwise, you might even hear your servant cursing you.
So he saves from the sword that comes from their mouth, even the poor from the hand of the powerful.
So they hanged Haman on the very gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. The king's rage then abated.
Then the king, with his consort sitting beside him, replied, "How long would your trip take, and when would you return?" Since the king was amenable to dispatching me, I gave him a time.
Ben-Geber was in charge of Ramoth Gilead; he controlled the tent villages of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead, as well as the region of Argob in Bashan, including sixty large walled cities with bronze bars locking their gates.
For many in Judah had sworn allegiance to him, because he was the son-in-law of Shecaniah son of Arah. His son Jonathan had married the daughter of Meshullam son of Berechiah.
because you know that you will receive your inheritance from the Lord as the reward. Serve the Lord Christ.
Three times a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar he had built for the Lord, burning incense along with them before the Lord. He made the temple his official worship place.
