Matthew 24:45-51 - A Faithful Slave And An Unfaithful Slave
45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing. 47 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. 48 But if that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of, 51 and he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
41 Peter said, "Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to all?"
42 And the Lord said, "Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. 45 But if that servant says to himself, 'My master is delayed in coming,' and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him, and at an hour he is not aware of, and he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers. 47 And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not ready himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, and committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask the more.
