Matthew 12:9-14 - A Man With A Withered Hand Healed

Matthew 12:9-14

9 He left and went into their synagogue. 10 There he saw a man who had a withered hand. They asked him if it is lawful to heal on the Sabbath day? They wanted to accuse him.

11 He said to them: Which of you having one sheep, if this sheep fell into a pit on the Sabbath day, will not get it and lift it out. 12 How much more value is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day!

13 Then he said to the man: Stretch out your hand. He stretched it out and it was restored whole like the other. 14 The Pharisees left and took counsel against him, to decide how they might destroy him.

Mark 3:1-6

1 He entered the Synagogue again. There was a man there whose hand was withered. 2 They watched to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath day. Then they might have something against him. 3 He said to the man: Get up and come forward. 4 Then he asked the Pharisees, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil? Is it right to give life or to put to death? But they said nothing. 5 He looked at them and was angry. He was also sad on account of their hard hearts. He said to the man: Stretch out your hand. He stretched it out and his hand was healed. 6 The Pharisees went away and immediately conspired with the Herodians. They tried to decide how they might destroy him.

Luke 6:6-11

6 He entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath and taught. There was a man there whose right hand was withered. 7 The scribes and the Pharisees watched to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. They looked for a way to accuse him. 8 He knew their thoughts. So he said to the man that had the withered hand: Stand up and come here. He arose and stepped forward. 9 Jesus said: I ask you, is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm? Is it lawful to save a life, or to destroy it? 10 He looked around at everyone and said to the man: Stretch out your hand. And he did so and his hand was restored. 11 They were all very angry and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
