Hebrews 3:7-19 - A Serious Warning Against Unbelief
7 Therefore as the Holy Spirit says, This day if you hear his voice, 8 harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness, 9 whom our fathers tempted in proving me, and saw my works forty years. 10 Therefore I was provoked with this generation, and I said, They do always err in their heart: and they have not known my way, 11 as I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.
12 See, brethren, lest at some time there shall be in some one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in turning away from the living God: 13 but exhort one another each day, while it is called to-day; in order that no one of you may be hardened with the deceitfulness of sin: 14 for we have been made partakers of Christ, if indeed we may hold fast the beginning of confidence firm unto the end. 15 In that it is said, This day if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation:
16 for who were those, having heard, who were hardened? yea, were they not all those having come out of Egypt under Moses? 17 And with whom was he provoked forty years? was it not with those that sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did he swear that they should not enter into his rest, but to those who believed not? 19 And we see that they were not able to enter in on account of their unbelief.
