Exodus 7:8-13 - Aaron's Staff Becomes A Snake

⁸ And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, saying, ⁹ "When Pharaoh speaketh unto you and sayeth, 'Show a wonder,' then shalt thou say unto Aaron, 'Take the rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall turn to a serpent.'" ¹⁰ Then went Moses and Aaron in unto Pharaoh, and did even as the LORD had commanded. And Aaron cast forth his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it turned to a serpent. ¹¹ Then Pharaoh called for the wise men, and enchanters of Egypt did in like manner with their sorcery. ¹² And they cast down every man his rod, and they turned to serpents; but Aaron's rod ate up their rods. ¹³ And yet, for all that, Pharaoh's heart was hardened, so that he hearkened not unto them, even as the LORD had said.
