1 Corinthians 1:18-25 - Christ Crucified, The Power And Wisdom Of God
18 For the preaching of the cross is to those who are perishing, foolishness, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nought the discernment of the discerning."
20 Where is the wise man? Where the scribe? Where the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by its wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe; 22 since even Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks seek for wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumblingblock, and to gentiles foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
