Matthew 22:41-46 - David's Son And Lord

Matthew 22:41-46

41 And the Pharisees being assembled, Jesus asked them, 42 saying, What seems to you concerning the Christ? whose son is He? They say to Him, Of David.

43 He says to them, How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying,

44 The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I may make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?

45 Then if David calls Him Lord, how is He his son? 46 And no one was able to respond a word to Him, neither did any one from that day dare to ask Him anything more.

Mark 12:35-37

35 And Jesus responding spoke, teaching in the temple, How do the scribes say that Christ is the son of David? 36 For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, the Lord said unto my Lord; Sit thou on my right hand, until I may make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet!

37 Then David himself calls Him Lord; and whence is He his son? And the great multitude were hearing Him delightfully.

Luke 20:41-44

41 And He said to them; How do they say that the Christ is the son of David? 42 And David himself says in the Book of the Psalms, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 43 until I may make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.

44 Therefore David calls Him Lord, and how is He his son?
