Matthew 10:26-33 - Fear God Rather Than People

²⁶ However, fear them not: for there is nothing concealed, which shall not be discovered; nor hid, which shall not be known. ²⁷ What I say unto you in the dark, publish in the light: and what ye hear whispered into the ear, proclaim upon the roofs. ²⁸ And be not afraid of those who kill the body, and cannot kill the soul: but fear him rather who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall to the ground without your Father. ³⁰ But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. ³¹ Fear not, therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

³² Every one therefore who shall make confession of me before men, of him will I also make confession before my Father who is in heaven. ³³ But whosoever shall disown me before men, him will I also disown before my Father who is in heaven.

⁴ But I say to you my friends, Be not afraid of those who may kill the body, but after that, have nothing farther which they can do. ⁵ But I will point out to you, whom ye should fear: Fear him, who, after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him! ⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, yet not one of them is forgotten before God? ⁷ But even the hairs of your head are all numbered: fear not then, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
