Romans 1:1-7 - Greeting

¹ Paul, bondman of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated to God's glad tidings, ² (which he had before promised by his prophets in holy writings,) ³ concerning his Son (come of David's seed according to flesh, ⁴ marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection of the dead) Jesus Christ our Lord; ⁵ by whom we have received grace and apostleship in behalf of his name, for obedience of faith among all the nations, ⁶ among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

⁷ to all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹ Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ, by God's will, and Sosthenes the brother,

² to the assembly of God which is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all that in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both theirs and ours:

³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹ Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by God's will, and the brother Timotheus, to the assembly of God which is in Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia. ² Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹ Paul, apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father who raised him from among the dead, ² and all the brethren with me, to the assemblies of Galatia.

³ Grace to you, and peace, from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴ who gave himself for our sins, so that he should deliver us out of the present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father; ⁵ to whom be glory to the ages of ages. Amen.

² to Timotheus, my beloved child: grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹ Paul, bondman of God, and apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of God's elect, and knowledge of the truth which is according to piety; ² in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time, ³ but has manifested in its own due season his word, in the proclamation with which I have been entrusted, according to the commandment of our Saviour God;

⁴ to Titus, my own child according to the faith common to us: Grace and peace from God the Father, and Christ Jesus our Saviour.

¹ Peter, apostle of Jesus Christ, to the sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, ² elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by sanctification of the Spirit, unto the obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

¹ Simon Peter, bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have received like precious faith with us through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ: ² Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

³ As his divine power has given to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us by glory and virtue, ⁴ through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. ⁵ But for this very reason also, using therewith all diligence, in your faith have also virtue, in virtue knowledge, ⁶ in knowledge temperance, in temperance endurance, in endurance godliness, ⁷ in godliness brotherly love, in brotherly love love:
